Our theory is simple, if you are in the water and your wading staff is folded up or floating around you it isn't doing you any good. No-Float Stix has many new features that we feel you will find to be of great help to you both in and out of the water. It has been especially designed for rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, and rocky and sandy beaches.
A steel ingot is hidden in the tip of the staff so that it sinks immediately. There is also a submersible system that takes on water and makes it possible for the No-Float Stix to weigh approximately the same in the water as out of the water. If your No-Float Stix happens to fall into the water only the grip will float making for easy recovery, as it will always be found in the upper column of water.
A standard 1" rubber chair cup covers the tip so that if it wears out the owner can easily replace it at any local hardware store. This rubber tip has a larger surface area than other wading staff points do and greatly helps in soft areas. The No-Float Stix has less slip in rocky terrain. It is a lifesaver in the slipperier, silty and moss covered areas, too. The rubber cup provides the ultimate in stealth. It makes no sound, so it won’t spook the fish. Due to its larger diameter and weight you will not get the vibration and hum that is associated with the thinner and lighter wading staffs. Another feature about the rubber cup is when walking on land it helps to absorb shock. The pendulum motion the No-Float Stix creates aids in better balance walking on land or wading in the water even when wading against the current.
